I use a blend of methods derived from Emotionally Focused therapy, Internal Family Systems, and other experiential therapies. Areas of clinical focus include family and parenting dynamics, depression, codependency, spirituality, addiction, trauma, attachment issues, anxiety, grief/loss, marital/relationship issues, personal growth, and life adjustment/transition.
Family Systems and Dynamics, Addiction and Trauma are my specialties. I am trained in EMDR, Level II certified.
Services I Offer
I specialize in helping individuals and families courageously face whatever barriers lie between them and restorative balance and peace. Working together, my clients and I identify and then address the blocks and barriers that keep them from thriving mentally, physically, emotionally, and relationally.

emphasis on current functioning, family of origin history, individual attachment style, quality of interpersonal relationships, trauma history, addiction or challenging compulsive behaviors, and/or single-issue treatments.

focus on familiar roles, improving communication patterns and increasing awareness of impact on one another; attention will be paid to ruptures, improving relational skills, and truth-telling within relationship.

observing family dynamics between parents and children to identify needs of the child, and to coach parents in building or supporting healthy bonds with their children. correcting maladaptive patterns and enhancing parent/child structures for harmony.

nine to fifteen hours of direct counseling over the course of one week to dive deeply into therapeutic issues. This experience is typically the equivalent of 6-12 month of weekly therapy sessions.

50-minute sessions
I do not accept insurance directly, but can provide you with a receipt for potential out of network reimbursement.
If you have questions about reimbursement rates, contact your carrier to find out about your insurance coverage
Payment is due at the end of each session.

Regular appointments and a predictable schedule are essential for success in psychotherapy
You are free to reschedule or cancel our scheduled session via phone call or text (615-554-9155) at any point before the 24-hours preceding the appointment time.
Please understand that if you need to cancel within that 24-hour window for any reason, you will still be charged for the time.
I do not charge for times that I am away, which averages to 4 weeks total per year
I will give as much notice as possible for times I am away

The confidentiality of our work together is assured except in the following circumstances:
I have reason to believe that abuse is occurring despite therapeutic efforts
I learn of serious or imminent danger to you or others
I am served with a court order
You request that information be disclosed to another party
